Autumn Rednesday

Hello Everyone! Happy Rednesday!

It's Autumn at the Brown Gingham Cabin
It's been so nice here in Ohio, but a cold front is moving in and should bring more typical Oct. weather....cooler temps....clouds...rain....
Oh well, as long as it's not 30's and wet snow showers....which can also be Ohio Autumn.

This isn't my pic, but I found it at
http://lesley-oldaker.deviantart.com/art/First-snow-on-Autumn-Leaves-334763137
Isn't this beautiful. check our Lesley's other artwork. It is really something.
But, this pic is very similar to what our woods looks like behind the BG Cabin or
at Sharon Woods...it's magical.

Enough of weather. Let's have happy thoughts...
It's Rednesday! I'm so thrilled you came by. It's getting soooo close to the Witching Hour, why not get this party

Now, is everyone comfy? Great. This Rednesday I wanted to share some new Autumn Designs the are available and some new pages I added to the BGC Blogspot.

I recently added a page that is full of stitchery magic....................
Needlework and Embroidery Encyclopedia. If you thought embroidery was just straight stitches or lazy daisy loops, Anne Cloth - click to enlargeWell this page has hundreds of thready flourishes that are astounding and gives the how-to's to create them. Not only that it explains different fabrics used in all needlecraft and the whole site is a veritable wonderland for Fabric and Paper Artists.
You really need to fly over and create your own magic. Go Here

I have also added another new page on the BGC Blog.............
Apronation Blog and Vintage Inspired Designs.
It is dedicated to the 'collecting, preserving, wearing, and creating vintage and vintage inspired aprons. This is also where you will also be able to purchase my one-of-a-kind apron designs'
Seems I get lost on Etsy...even doing ads....so, I was inspired by a few other fellow Blog Sellers to strike out on my own and try my own marketing with my own Blogs.

You'll also find a link page  to....................................................

                    Brown Gingham Cabin Shoppe

My business website. Where you'll finds vintage inspired fabric creations to purchase.....more amazing info textile sites.........
inspiration..... and more.

I have been working on some new designs for my Cabin Shoppe
for Fall too.............................................................................

I created these 4 placemats combining a vintage 1950's tablecloth and beautifully patterned papers..................................................
Here's a close-up. I hand-cut the papers and hand-embroidered the duck medallions in the centers. Each medallion is different and these are 2-sided...the backs are a full sheet of floral paper...if you don't want a fowl motif on the table........ok...ok..I warned you it's Halloween.
They are sealed in acetate and water proof. They will be available on my website asap for $34.99 a set. If you want to know more just leave a message.

I found this cute 1960's sofa throw pillow and this perfectly plastic candle ring.....viola' a simple Autumn centerpiece.
Available for $24.99

And meet, Flora, my Autumn Angelic Inspiration. Her skirt is a 1960's hankie I hand-embroidered and accented by more of those plastic candle ring flowers.
Available for $34.99
Again, they'll be on the website asap, but if you are interested leave a comment or e-mail me.

Check out the new radio show and Television show for Halloween
on my sidebar too.

And before you leave to visit the other Rednesday party-goers remember to make a copy of your recipes and these fun Halloween pics..............................

Now, let's go on over to the other posts...but, let's stick together
Bloglandia gets a little creepy this time of year.

Melody, Hello and a happy Rednesday to you. My, you are one talented, crafty lady (that's how I described you in my blog post)...I love the place mats you made and out of paper!! Your embroidery is lovely and what fun to mix the two mediums. Ooo...I wish you many blessings with your blog shop. Oh, and by the way your cabin home is most charming - location and all. Love your photos.

Have you ever visited Yesteryear Emrboideries. Kathleen is the host of the blog and she is quite an enthusiast and talented embroiderer. You may find a kindred spirit there.

Be bless today, and thank you for hosting REDnesdays. I love your blog.
