Rednesday Wednesday #10

This is a weekly blog party celebrating everything red. Sunset reds to garnet reds....

tomato reds to strawberry reds...and every shade in between.
Posts can showcase vintage finds. collections, decor, fashion, designs or items you have for sale, seasonal items, recipes, etc. The connecting thread will be the color red.

With this also being Autumn and the Holidays the Cousins of RED are also included such as russets, red-oranges,  and maroon.

To Kick off the Holiday season I created a classic floral motif table..............................

I love my vintage rose tablecloth. I thought I'd set up for a little garden themed dessert table in the kitchen
and use some of my vintage rose motif doilies and pot holders

 and spoon/knife rest

I placed my Rose cale plate and server in the center
and surrounding it with rose and mum accented aluminum, fresh ivy and roses, porcelain rose basket box, rose books and garden magazines

This was a mice little get-together

Cupcake "floral" arrangement. Super cute.
White roses cake

I didn't take a pic of my plain cake, but I'm loving these two from Pinterest.

I love my vintage rose table so much I created a a gift set perfect for the collector or as a wonderful Christmas or Birthday present.

 I located a wonderful 1950's  rose tablecloth
................................. a set of 4 rose beverage glasses

and, a vintage sheer red and white apron I added applique roses from another tablecloth to the pockets.
with vintage rick-rack too

If you'd like more info on ordering this rosy set just leave a comment or e-mail me at www.brownginghamcreations@fuse.net

Now, let's party! Inlinkz is up and running

Rednesday Vintage Fun ...

Welcome to Rednesday Wednesday!

With this also being Autumn and Thanksgiving the Cousins of RED are also included such as russets, red-oranges,  and maroon.

I love vintage ephemera,

but, I don't do a lot of paper craft. I do like to take vintage images and use them as patterns for my embroidery..............

A while back I had the opportunity to try a digital scrapbooking program. My Memories Suite
Top Ten 2013 Gold Award Winner

As I said before, I don't do scrapbooking, but I have done newsletters, ads, and graphic design layouts for  business uses.
This program is wonderful with rich content, easy point and click applications, and  the ability to keep it digital or print out. There are fabulous and diverse papers, sets, accessories, and pre-made pages to purchase to create layouts for everyday, holidays, and special occasions.   I find that it works great for Cards, advertising, signage, and much more. My fav are the vintage inspired papers and add-ons

This is a pic of the comp screen while I created a digital composite for use on my website............
See on the side all the applications for adding content to your design!
This was last years digital Christmas card I created. I love the vintage lace and the 30's inspired paper

I've also used it to create themed title badges for linky parties I host for Etsy Cottage Style
I added text boxes with shadow to make it look like the little boy is holding a sign

This is just a Fall collage

This collage was a bit more complicated using pics from my computer and add-ons from MyMemories, but just point and click.....easy peasy

This one was too easy. Just add text and pic...viole'
And, for my own weekly party...............................

I have even made business stationary.........................

I really do love this program, Whether you use it for it's original purpose or for desktop publishing My Memories Suite is very versatile.

November Rednesday #9

Hi Everyone!
Happy Rednesday!
November already and the beginning of the busy holiday season.

I saw this chair.....oops ....well you can see it is pretty

This is better....it's been hand-painted all over. I'm really not sure it isn't original not redone. Either way it sure is pretty
This is on my to do list,,,to find a chair and attempt to use this as the inspiration.

I also found this cute cake plate lid
I couldn't leave without it. It's Aluminum, of course, with an imprinted band of acorns and oak leaves. The lid handle is a carved acorn made from a piece of oak.

I've also started some Christmas items that'll be available at
Brown Gingham Cabin Shoppe

This a Christmas  music box.
'Brown Gingham Christmas'
She's a 1960's music box angel that plays Silent Night. I embellished
her with a 1950's hankie I hand-embroidered, and flocked wings from a poinsettia flower. Her card is a copy of a vintage.
She's available to decorate your Christmas table.

Today is Rednesday I hope you can join the party!

In The Pink For Saturday

Beverly's PINK SATURDAY

So, I thought I'd share some PINK from my design collection

This pretty little lady in PINK was a Summer hit
She was a 1960 fashion plate..in need of a little update...
Her dress was created from a 1940's hand-crocheted doily and hankie that I hand-embroidered.

I Hand-embroidered this 1960's tea towel. I loved the Colonial theme. Available

These place mats were fun to create. I combined paper rounds with denim fabric I hand-embroidered with a vintage dinnerware pattern. Available

I found a glass plate and candlestick and created a cake-plate that I hand-painted a Celedon Green to match....

This 1940's hand-crocheted doily.

I topped it with a green glass plate that is removable for easy cleaning.  Available

Parting shot is another popular Summer item.
The Southern Belle Pillow. I combined a 1940's hankie with hand-tatted edging with a vintage embroidery transfer. Love mixing embroidery, beads, and fabric flowers.

Well. I'm off to stroll down the PINK side of Bloglandia. Hey I hope you can come by next Wednesday join in for Rednesday.
