Here in Cincinnati it is a wonderful 75* at Midnight!
In the Northern Rockies of Montana...there is a snow storm goin on...phew...I will take the humidity..rain..and 90's later this afternoon 8)

Dump Cake
This recipe is adapted and can be found in ABWA's Key of Friendship cookbook (Salisbury, Missouri)
Author:
Recipe type: Dessert
Ingredients
  • 1 can crushed pineapple, with juice
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • ¾ cup chopped nuts (I use pecans.)

  • 1 stick butter (I use salted.)
Instructions
  1. Use a 9x12-inch pan, ungreased.
  2. Spread in layers, crushed pineapple, cherry pie filling, chopped pecans (reserving (1/4 cup), dry cake mix, butter (cut-up in small pieces) and remaining pecans

Eastery Rednesday

I had fun creating this Easter Rednesday banner. Isn't Bunny cute in her Rednesday best?
Well, I for one can't wait to see your Springy Easter collectibles, creations, and decor.
Don't forget that includes all the different
shades, tints, and hues
And mix in some of other Easter/Springy colors too...hey
it's a party...the more color the merrier.

##############################################################################

Since this is an Easter Week Party I thought I'd  do a little 'baking' to share with you all...................................................
Easter Eggshell Cupcakes Check out this video for Easter Egg Cakes

Nutter Butter Chicks
Nutter Butter Easter Chicks. Photo by Kathy at Food.com
Ingredients:

Serves: 16Yield:
16
Easter ... Units: US | Metric
16 Nutter Butter sandwich cookies
12 ounces yellow candy melts or 12 ounces white chocolate candy melts, with
yellow food coloring (must be an oil-based coloring)
8 orange Tic Tac mints (beak)
black decorating gel (eyes) or icing (eyes)
wax paper
Directions:

1
Cut the Tic Tacs in half to form the chick's beak. Set aside.
2
Melt the candy coating as directed on the package. I use the microwave. If using white candy melts, add enough yellow food coloring to get a bright yellow tint.
3
Dip the Nutter Butter cookies in the melted candy coating, shake off the excess, then lay on the wax paper. Allow the coating to harden, about 10-20 minutes.
4
Pipe eyes on each chick. Add eyebrows or eye lashes if you like -- I think it gives them more personality.
5
Beak: Attach the beak using a bit of melted candy coating.
If you place in a basket, you can't forget to add cherry or cinnamon flavored jelly bean 'eggs' with all the other colors for Rednesday!
Well, before you go on to the other party-goers don't forget to grab your party recipes. Now, let's go see everyone.

Rednesday

Okay, I know it's late, but  this tumble has taken on a life of it's own. The meds of last week finally made me sick, so this week began a new one. I keep falling asleep between things I need to get done and to my hurtful pride I cannot sit long enough to type a sentence 8[ !  So, I am going to put up Rednesday Wednesday which I would never miss.

I thought I'd have a nice post to share since I had planned to go to the antique mall, but I could only walk one aisle and gave up.          I hope you all can join in, have fun, and visit each other. I'll be in the background watching the fun, but again I can't sit long enough to send a comment.....sigh.
Happy Rednesday!
