Happy Fall Y'all

Autumn is my absolute favorite time of the year. Not too cold...not too hot......sweater weather....new leather shoes weather........the light takes on a life of it's own. Even if it's cloudy, the sunshine absorbed by the tree leaves blaze in a brilliant fire of warm color. Browns, Greens, Brugandys, Golds, Purples, Blues, Aquas. I have to admit it......red is great.....pinks are fine........but colors of Fall are what I always gravitate to for decor and fashion. From my logo I guess you can surmise my first choice of colors are.......browns and greens.   What can I say, I am a child of the 60's.....Harvest Brown and Harvest Green appliances...yes,  my bedroom today, has walls of Harvest Gold. Historically the bold, muted tones of fall were used during American Victorian and Colonial times. I Love this site ...Color Wikia...that shows all the wonderful shades and hues of brown (and other colors too)..click  Here to see all the autumnul browns.......and it ain't just chocolate or dirt either.  LOL
Here are some of my fav Brown things...........
My brown gingham tablecloth I was surprized with this Summer by my Blogpal Cindy at Whimsicle Musings

My Farmhouse table we recieved as a wedding present....It's Cherry and Hunter Green

These are just some of the browns...and greens.....on my front porch

I'm so glad you got a little time to yourself and did a post. What wonderful stuff. You stick to your brown color scheme like I stick to my white! You have a great collection of stuff. Your brooch is gorgeous. I'm not buying the part about you not owning a brown diamond. I know you're just trying to throw off potential thieves. LOL!
Maybe Santa will bring you one this year. You've been very very good after all.
big hugs,
Caroline

Hi Melody. I was just getting ready to send you a-mail to check on you and your family. I like you love the fall of the year. It is my favorite time of te year. I enjoyed reading your blog tonight. I have been busy working on bridal shower, wedding gifts, and Halloween tea towels. I am doing a craft show in a month that I have been working on some things for it. We are all doing pretty good at the moment and if everything goes o.k. we will be traveling in about two weeks. I am hoping. I so need a break from work. Have a great day my friend. Your Missouri Friend.
