It has been a while..................

.........almost 2 months since I last posted?! I missed seein ya all and hearin from you.,but, Phew, sometimes  ya just can't help life gettin in the way. The biggest scare happened 3 weeks ago with our Shadow. He woke up on a Tuesday at 4 crying.....that in itself is unsettling, it's like a baby not being able to tell what's wrong.

By 8a we were waiting at the the Vet's. Shadow doesn't do 'sick' well. he wants to be left alone. He gets a little cranky and snappish..like most of us, but with those teeth and catlike claws his 'NO' is meant. So a little shot of Valium and he was in his happy place not noticing or caring about the poking and prodding. We knew he had 2 sebaceous cysts, one behind his ear and one in his back. The one on his back had decided to remove itself by creating a 2" tear, so emergency surgery was a necessity. Within an hour both cysts were removed and stitched up. With a sigh of relief he awoke with a look of 'What happened?' and seemed to ask to return to his happy place. Within the next week Shadow returned to his old self, running and jumping, which he hadn't done for a long while. Seems the cyst was applying pressure to his back. We have to watch cause he's 7 and arthritis starts about now, but hopefully we've taken care of his back ache completely. he just got his stitches out without any shots needed. Guess he knew Tim was gonna make it feel much better.

Like I said Life causes hitches in Bloglandia...hate when that happens, but as long as everything ends well, I keep on keepin on. I've also, been working on an idea I've had for while with expanding Brown Gingham Creations. Nothing final, still in the works, but I hope to post some great news soon.
Sorry to be so short, but Life is still gettin me.

Oh Melody, I'm so glad your sweet Shawdow is doing better now. Its such a scare when our furbabies are sick. :(

My blog posts have been few and far between this summer, too. Just so much going on.
Glad to hear all is well with you and congrats on the possible business expansion!

Hi Melody! I missed you & I wondered where you were keeping yourself but assumed you were either busy or taking a break. Sorry to hear of your dogs trouble with those cysts. We have a Golden that was developing benign tumors - they are so aggravating to him. We opted to treat him with his diet which means eating more people food & less dog food. They are shrinking...yay!
Have a great weekend.

I went through the same thing about a year ago with my Great Dane. So glad Shadow it doing well. It's so scary when a pet has an issue, you just don't know what to do for them. Thanks goodness we both have great vets. Cyndar is now on the generic form of Rymidal for her arthritis for her back, shes 8 this year...getting up there for a large dog. Her muzzle had turned gray, but when my son brings over his pups she plays like one..then sleeps for a couple days after they leave LOL. Currently I have a 17 yr old Siamese that will prob have to be put down soon. Had her since she was a kitten. So hard when you know the end it comming. She is on thyroid meds, which aren't helping, so either she has more cancer (4 yrs ago she almost lost a leg to the cancer they get from the vacines)or her thyroid "connectors" have shriveled and are no longer working. She is down to 4 pounds. Just skin and bones. She seems to be getting weaker and her balance seems off. Made many accomidations to make it easier for her to reach things, Keeping her comfortable with kidney and heart meds, until that time comes.
Geesh, didn't mean to write a book here, sorry.
It feels good to hear good news about someones elses pet. It's such a relief when all goes well. Wishing Shadow many more years of health and happiness.

Happy your adorable fur sweetie is doing better. Cysts are so ugly, poor baby. Our pug, who died to years ago, had them at one time. We still miss our Ben so much.
The antique mall looks like a total dream, I'm glad I'm not any close to something like that, or else...! lol
Thank you for dropping by for a lovely visit.
