I am stuck in the house and can't get out!! Again!!!
Since this storm goes from Arizona to Maine, I guess you're stuck too.
These poor little guys were iced right out of their nest............................................
Mom says that, usually, once there is a period of big snow storms followed by a good ice storm,
and we'll have an early Spring.
Hope to see this soon.................................................................................................
A pretty bluebell path in the woods and wouldn't you love to sit
under this tree with a book

Hey It's Rednesday Wednesday!!! Since it's icy....cold......rainy.........snowy...........gray.........bluckey.........
I'm just gonna show some of my red warmers............................................................................................
Skotch Ice- Tin cans filled

in Koolers
Skotch Plaid glass beverage
Kooler
Skotch Kooler Grill
I have my Skotch Kooler collection in my kitchen. I love to use them as serving pieces filled with ice and placing a Pyrex bowl inside. Keeps everything cold for a long while....perfect for Super Bowl parties :) The grill can be used as a warmer too.
And, what better time to have this............................................................................................................
Well, I guess this is the end of my post for today. It seems I've lost my DISH. This must be some storm...we never lose our DISH..despite some claims by the "other guys".....called the 800# and it says due to the storm some things are out....okay now is the time to say....'if digital satelite TV goes down and satellite radio goes down how isn't that an argument that we should keep go old AM/FM and UHF/VHF on the airways?'....just saying.
Today I'm joining Susan over at It's a Very Cherry World for

Hi Melody, You have gotten what we had and the snow is on its way. We had the ice yesterday, but nothing like the ice storm in 1993. I know it is hard on you with your dad in the hospital, but with the weather that we have right now it is the best place for him.
I don't think I will work again tomorrow with the blowing snow and the whiteouts. You couldn't even see the next door neighbors house. We did get to celebrate John's birthday with the family there last Sunday morning.
Be careful on the ice, you don't want to fall. I would probably break something. Take care and I am saying a prayer for you all. Hugs Your Missouri Friend.
Your scotch plaids make me smile! Thanks for sharing. ~ sarah
Hi Melody, Hope your dad is going to be OK sending prayers for him. Stay warm and be careful. Enjoyed your RED today. Blessings, Vicky
I've been wanting one of those plaid coolers forever, but I do have one of those Skotch Ice tins!
Hope you Dad is doing well today. Sending prayers for your family!
We've had 18" of snow so far since yesterday, and possibly a few more this morning. It's really beautiful, but it's a pretty dangerous situation around here!
Happy REDnesday!
Carol
I hope things are lookin' up! It's no fun to be trapped by winter weather and worried about a family member, too.
I linked to Rednesday with a photo of my red burning bush and one where our heavy snow bent it down to the ground. I feel like that too, sometimes.
I love your old red plaids!
Memories! ♥
Hope your Dad is dong well today -we're sendng prayers to your family too.
XOXO Lola & Nora:)
PS Glad you liked the exercise post too!
I just love the Skotch Plaid pieces. I have a few but have never thought of actually using them for anything other than decorations. Thanks for the tip.
Happy Rednesday.
Fondly,
Ann

Hi Melody, it sounds like you are having a time of it! What a mess this storm is. Thanks for sharing your plaid cooler and your special cookbook, and thanks for stopping by to say hello. Glad to hear that your Dad is doing better.
Take care,
Kathy
I just love what you shared today for Rednesday and also wanted to let you know I'm praying..((hugs))
I've got a couple of pieces like that! Yours is a great collection! We haven't had power for 2 days-good thing I just bought an iPad! Stay warm!
I remember we had a skotch plaid thermos when I was a kid. Sure wish I had it now!
Blessings,
Janet
Looove your reds, I can't resist red + plaid. I have search every single flea market, yard sale, thrift store for one single red plaid item and NADA!!! You are lucky ;).
Melody, your iced trees look like my iced trees! I always love to see plaid containers and coolers!
Wonderful and fantastic selection of photos!
Melody
I am glad to hear your dad is doing better. I was lucky to have soup ingredients the day I was snowed in. Be careful driving and stay safe.
I really hope you are right about an early spring. We have ice everywhere and it is too cold to melt!
I remember my parents having some Scotch Plaid items we used to take on vacation when I was a child.
